Taken in Moreton Bay on a day when Brisbane was covered in smoke due to many many grass fires and controlled burn offs to prepare for the hot summer ahead.
There was a huge amount of smoke in the air as authorities prepared for the fire season by burning off ahead of summer. Little did these people realize what they were missing by being at the back of the boat. Moreton Bay Qld Australia
I have just come back from spending a few days with friends out in beautiful Moreton Bay. This shot was taken from a boaties safe haven called Tiger Mullet. We moored here for several days spending time at popular places on South Stradbroke Island called Millionaires and the Bedrooms. Both these locations are popular with boaties and jetskiers alike. This island is not bridged therefore the only way to get here is by boat. The beaches are pristine and its a great place to bring your family. The smoke on the horizon was from the dreadful fire that was burning on North Stradbroke Island.
