Unbelievable weather here in Queensland at the moment. Yesterday we were told that there was a cyclone forming off the coast and that it would cross the coast on Friday near Rockhampton as a Category 2. Today this cyclone started the day as a Cat 1 and has built to a Cat 4 all in the one day & its expected that it will be a 5 when it reaches land fall tomorrow morning. This system didn't even have an eye until lunchtime, How odd is this storm! I took this image yesterday morning at Sand Pumping Jetty at the Spit on the Gold Coast, even then the winds were beginning to whip up the sea. I pray that everyone will be safe & that no structural damage is done.
We have a cyclone off the Qld coast at the moment so our seas are just beginning to be whipped up. This cyclone is expected to hit the central Queensland coast on Friday. I hope that it fizzles out & does no damage & that everyone stays safe. This image was taken this morning at the Gold Coast Seaway
