An absolutely stunning morning in Duvauchelle Bay. I really loved these little boatsheds but the light that was hitting the bay was gorgeous so I wanted to combine the two so I decided to do a panorama.
The water levels of all the lakes were very high when I visited in November. This little jetty was just under water. I just loved Akaroa, it was a peaceful little french fishing village.
When we first arrived in Akaroa we were facinated by the stunning yellow plant that was growing all over the mountains. When we inquired about it we were told it was a dreaded weed called Gorse. It subsequently was everywhere on our travels throughout the South Island. it may be a terrible weed but it was is a sight to behold!
