I am just back from a 2 week holiday of the South Island of New Zealand. We first spent 2 nights in the quaint little fishing village of Akaroa. I think that this was one of my favourite locations on the whole trip. Its such a pretty little place, not over run with tourists but we seemed to time our stay well as we avoided the cruise ships that now frequent this little harbour on a weekly basis.
Our last sunrise in New Zealand. We had planned to photograph a lake fairly close to where we were staying as there was supposed to be a light cloud cover and no wind making for excellent conditions for reflections but when we woke it was really windy and stars galore! So we decided not to head out but to have a relaxing morning but half an hour later the wind dropped and the clouds rolled in leaving us in a mad panic of where to shoot as it was too late to head to the lake. We ended up down at the lake in Queenstown. It turned out to be a cracker of a sunrise after all :)
When in Queenstown this is an absolute must do! its so much fun.
