Sunset on the 2nd night of my trip out west with my friend Sue. This was taken on the way back from a day trip to the Bunya Mountains. The authorities are doing burn offs at the moment in preparation for summer so the colours of the sunsets are so bold and beautiful.
I have spent a weekend out west near Chinchilla with a very dear friend. Boy did we have a great time. We met a lovely farmer named Leon who very kindly allowed us to photograph the sunset from his farm. He was very patient with us "city Slickers", told us this was called a central pivot irrigation system. With the cotton season just finished he was in the early stages of growing lucerne. We stayed on until late trying our hand for the first time with star trails but it wasn't really successful as it was a full moon. It was absolutely FREEZING but we had fun anyway and that's the most important thing right?
Fire in the sky at Goombungee.
